From practical magic to pull-ups: A personal reintroduction

Updated: Oct 4

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a personal introduction so… hello!

I run my beloved coaching practice from Brighton, UK, where I live with my wonderful partner. I work with clients from all over the world (mainly LA, New York, Paris, London and Cambridge!).

Those of you who know me will already be aware that ‘life coach’ doesn’t fully encapsulate what I do. Coaching is the simplest frame - but the full picture is coloured in by my broader life and work experience as a business owner, consultant, ex-corporate professional, parent, partner and human. This is in the mix with the various developmental and healing modalities I have studied (coaching, hypnotherapy, internal family systems, somatics and reiki) and the richness of over a decade of client work.

I use the words ‘practical magic’ around my work, because it sums up so many of the wonderful testimonials I’ve received from clients. The ‘quality-of-life changing’ work we have done together always has elements of both; grounding and elevating, doing and being, simple and complex, freeing and profound.

In recent years, I’ve discovered floristry as a hobby and a life lesson. Connecting with the generosity of nature, the impermanent fleeting nature of beauty, the relationship between the flowers and the vessel, the endless need for water, the flowers need for sunshine to open and darkness to rest and sleep at night… so many things resonate with the life we live.

Over the past 2.5 years I have discovered strength training. Recently, I have set myself the goal of completing one (strict) pull up. I have a pull up bar in my garden and every time I walk past it, I have a try. I’m the fittest I’ve ever been in my life, age 46 and perimenopausal. I hated intentional exercise for many years and so at times I am in shock and awe at my (better-late-than-never) dedication to my beloved body.

What else? In the near future, there are going to be some important changes for me - including becoming an empty-nester! I’ve also decided that it’s time for me to finally (finally) write a book. I’m called to share what I’ve learned through my work and life in a way that connects with and serves as many people as possible. More as this unfolds!

In the meantime, I wish you love and peace and everything in between.
